Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for his five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!
There is sooo much to like about this unraced galloper from the Gai and Adrian yard called SCIENTIST. He’s had two trials to date and won them both. Just seems to zoom from the gates, sets up a lead and keeps up the gallop. His mother was a two-time Gr 1 winner. Her name is Global Glamour. AMBASSADORS finished like a train to win his recent trial so may represent the best form of opposition. But I do think Scientist will be simply too swift.
ROARING MISS is the play here. She is trained at this track which is usually a huge help. And her last start 2nd in this grade when ridden from the gates to lead was impressive. She was first up that day and needed the run. It was on a very heavy track too. Should strip considerably fitter following the run and looks the one to catch today. Should make an impact here.
Tip: ROARING MISS
On speed horses at Ippy today look the play. And we find one here who is also in form. His name is DEMBE. Jumped and ran at big odds here last start a fortnight back and kept going to score over 1200m on a soft track. Better placed on top of the ground, which he gets today, and may well replicate the dose. Is up in class though but is 3rd up.
I’m going out on a Best Bets limb here by declaring RUBY KISSES who is $22. She is tough and has shown in the past, two critical things in regards to her hopes here. Firstly, she is potent when 3rd up. Today she is 3rd up. Secondly, she has performed very well when right in both this BM grade and the one above. Gets a welcome 3kg claim this afternoon and has drawn perfectly. I’ll be on with PETULANT my quinella bet.
Tip: RUBY KISSES
I’m tipping old ZIPPING BOY here. I just love a horse coming back in grade. He has placed in better company twice this time up and with the 3kg claim he comes into this extremely well. Small field suits too. Drawn to receive a terrific run and is super fit.
