Horse Racing Tips – Wagga Friday 6th May

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s big Wagga meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Track: Good 4

Lots of intrigue in this race. Plenty of money overnight for the Canberra mare DEVINE MISS who is in sparkling form. But these Mark Newnham trained horses who drop in grade tend to spark up and I sense that may be the case this afternoon with ZAIN’S GIRL. She is 3rd up here after a solid Goulburn win then a good, tough 4th in town on a very heavy track. Will have take a fair bit of improvement from those tough runs. Parks up here in a good barrier and should sit close to the lead before dashing away. Definitely have Devine Miss in for the quinella bet.

This is going to be a fast run race. Given the weather in NSW over the past 2 months, it may come as no shock that Randwick-trained ZELADY LUCK who fronts up here for her 7th career race start, has NEVER raced on a good or fast track. All her races have been on wet ground. And given that she is a speedster who likes to lead her races, today may just be a gift from God for her. She has drawn the rails so no doubt Timmy Clark sends her forward to the front. If he is swinging off her as they turn I just can’t see anything other than say FOURMADEC running on hard enough to get to her. Clarky should skip away from them with 250m too.

I think Mark Newnham will have a terrific day. He saddles SPIRIT RIDGE here in the Cup and he just looks a grade above them. I think he can lead all the way and brain these. The trifecta players probably will be FIVE KINGDOMS and BRUTALITY.
