Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the Hawkesbury meetings this afternoon, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!
Interesting race here. NAPLES for Godolphin deserves to win having place 4 times at this level and resumes here after a couple of trials. But I’m going for another one resuming in TYPHOON TAAVI for Gai and Adrian. Only had the one start to date when unplaced in town then sent out for a good while to mate and grow. Must have done that as her two trials have been first-rate. Drawn to lead these and no surprise to see her bolt away as they turn and hang tough down the running. Quinella them.
Here’s a fascinating race. You would have to think that after 3 race starts thus far that PACKER knows, what to do and is fit enough to make it happen. He was place at Scone when making good ground late then taken to town in a tougher maiden and made ground late again, this time over 1400m, to wind up 4th. Gets in here very well after the claim and that all adds up to a very bold showing. NINJA STAR trialled very well and is in line to run a place. Watch market.
Tip: PACKER @ $3.40
I think there is one here going in under the radar. Kris Lees trains her and her name is WILD SHEILA. Josh Parr has the sit today and she has drawn perfectly in gate 2. So I see her sitting in about 5th spot, with plenty of cover. GULF OF SAROS, who is rising a long way in class for today’s race, should lead them a merry dance making it a true staying test which I believe will suit Wild Sheila. She has form in better races over 2000m. I expect her to get out and run the leader down. Quinella them.
