Horse Racing Tips – Thursday 24th March

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the race meeting this afternoon at Hawkesbury and Albury with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!

Interesting race here. I know this lightly raced stayer OLD GREGG is coming off a lowly non-tab win at Leeton last start, and that the horse who ran 2nd has since come out and been unplaced, but it was the manner in which he won that caught my eye. He was on pace over 1900m all the way and turned in front only to be headed by a couple and looked gone. Yet under riding he rallied and fought himself off the canvass to win drawing away. He probably sits in 3rd here on his home track and battles it out down the straight getting up from LUMBER DREAM who is in form. Quinella them at least.

Here’s a fun race. Lots of money has come in overnight for Godolphin’s filly STALKING. Hughie to ride and she was a game 2nd when resuming from a spell in this grade last start. Came home along the fence in the worst part of the track that day and gets an extra 100m here. Probably starts around $1.90 in this and should rattle down the centre of the track and win drawing away.

This is a pretty strong BM 64 for a provincial race. Lots of speed. I like ESTEEMED LADY because of a few reasons. Firstly, she is honest and puts in every run. Secondly, she will drive forward from this outside gate and be in the top two, hopefully just one off as they swing. Her fitness, from three solid city runs of late, should help her down the running as will the 3kg claim by Ellen Hennessy. Big watch on LAURELIN, but she has drawn deep. Quinella them.
