Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Albury and Wyong meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!
This is a pretty handy maiden field. I like home track advantage and the way THINK RICH weaved his way through the field to run 2nd in this grade on debut last start suggests to me he has talent enough to win this. That was at Gundagai. He is on his home track today and the race is 100m further. Looks too strong late from EAMONN’S MEMORY who will run on hard too. That’s my quinella.
Tip: THINK RICH
Every now and then an anomaly like this bobs up. The ultra consistent LARMOUR, who puts in every start, ran a cracking 3rd in this grade over this trip last start carrying 60.5kg. She made good ground late and was 2.17 lengths behind the winner LE MAY. On that, and her previous runs, she is a major player. But Le May is in this race also. And she carries 1kg less than when she beat Larmour easily. Larmour stays on the same weight. So, conclusion, on weights and measures, Larmour can’t beat Le May here and Le May should appreciate this journey as it was his first look at it last start. Quinella them.
Tip: LE MAY
So annoying that my major tip is in the largest field of the day at a scratching-torn Wyong meeting. But it is and we’ll get by. I like Godolphin’s SLIDERS here. I know she has been hugely unsuccessful and disappointing during her career but I think it may be because they simply over-estimated her talents from her 2YO days. She was entered in many much stronger races than this. Today she is 3rd up. Last start she made good ground to run 2nd over 1200m in the mud in this class. So being a fair bit fitter now I think she flashes home late with Gr 1 winning jock Rachel King on board.
