Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Eagle Farm | Saturday 11th June

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s Eagle Farm meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 4m entire circuit

ROBUSTO comes into this third-up from spell. Not beaten all that far in the Ken Russell Memorial fresh then he just got too far back last start. Drawn perfectly and if he can sit closer can figure.

CALGARY STAMPEDE just found the Sires’ Produce a little too hot last start. Gets back in a winnable race and from inside gate he should get all the favours.

METALLICITY started odds on favourite on the heavy ground at Newcastle first-up and just battled at the one pace. Looking for him to get firmer ground and he can figure.

BIGBOYROY controlled the race from the front here last start and he sprinted away for soft win last start. Expect he will try similar tactics and he will be the one to catch.

SCALLOPINI only just missed when Count De Rupee pounced in the Victory Stakes first-up then he was not disgraced in Group 1 company last start. Third-up and ready to find best form.

KIRWAN’S LANE was brave at Randwick last start after a tough run wide. Hawkesbury Cup winner three starts back and will not mind if it is a heavy track.

IRISH SEQUEL finished the race off stylishly to win the Winter Cup at Rosehill last start. Waller/McDonald combination always hard to beat and they get chance in this.

SPLENDIFEROUS has won three off her last four starts. She did some work early here last start but showed the usual Waterhouse/Bott strength late and held on. She can win again.

SWEET THOMAS started enormous odds in the G3 Premier’s Cup last start but the veteran produced a big finish for impressive win. If he holds that form he will be in finish again.

FLYING CRAZY won the Daybreak Lover three back then went to Scone and won the Luskin Star. He was luckless in the Fred Best last start when held-up badly. He can return to winners stall.

KISS SUM is screaming out to win this time in. Made it three placings in a row when just missed in the Fred Best last start. He gets chance to go one better.

FINEPOINT relished the heavy ground at Warwick Farm last start and she won in a canter. Looks a highly promising filly who will measure up to these.

Going with the locals in this and the Tony Gollan trained MASS DESTRUCTION each way. Comes into this ready third-up from spell and if he can show natural improvement will be right in the mix.

TYCOONIST was unlucky here last start when got out a fraction too late. Only needs to get run a fraction earlier and he can get away with this.

RANCH HAND sprinted clear and won with something in hand here last start. Had trial to keep up to the mark and no reason he cannot win again.

MAXIMAL finally found some form in Australia when he chased home Huetor in the Doomben Cup last start and got very close. Fitter and looking for him to turn the tables in this.

HUETOR finished too well back on the inside in the Doomben Cup last start. Takes on similar field and no reason he cannot make it two in a row.

If the rain persists then POLLY GREY will come into her own. She ran Zaaki to a length in the Hollindale Stakes two starts back and would include her in multiples.

Out to the mile could be the winning move for SHARP ‘N’ SMART. He powered home late and just missed in The Phoenix last start. Gets chance to go one better.

POLITICAL DEBATE was brave holding on to win The Phoenix here last start when held off Sharp ‘N’ Smart. They look the two standouts again and no reason he cannot win again.

BROSNAN was sent out favourite at Flemington last start and he finished too well for an impressive win. Looks promising and would not leave out of multiples.

ELEVEN ELEVEN looks primed for the Stradbroke third-up from spell. He just missed in Group 1 company in the Kingsford-Smith Cup last start. Hugh Bowman takes the ride and he can win.

BROOKLYN HUSTLE is juicy each way odds in this. Last season’s winning rider Craig Williams jumps aboard and if he can find some clear air for the mare she can power over these.

APACHE CHASE jumped to the front and managed to hold them all off for a gutsy win in the G1 Kingsford-Smith Cup last start. Expect they will try similar tactics in this.

NAJMATY seems to have finally clicked this prep and is living up to her potential having won both runs this time in. She can go on with it in this.

WRITTEN BEAUTY finished too well and won with authority here two starts back then she had no luck when favourite last start and forget run. Awkward barrier but can bounce back in this.

LETZBEGLAM is a Kiwi trained mare who was placed at home before crossing the Tasman. Was in worst of the ground here last start and just held ground late. Cannot leave her out of chances.
