Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Eagle Farm | Sat 4th June

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s Eagle Farm meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 2m entire circuit

OCEANIC FLASH likely hasn’t been at home in the heavy recently. Although may be looking for further, thinking that early in prep and dryer track, Berry aboard, could be getting home late for the win.

YOUNGBLOOD ran well in the wet at Gold Coast last time out. Dropping back in distance but should still be worthy of plenty of consideration.

CASINO MONDIAL has been consistent of late without winning. Bowman jumps on board and he has won on this gelding previously.

FRANCESCO GUARDI ran a botler last time out at Gosford. Looks as though the step up to 1400 suits ideally, JMac jumps onboard and that combined, seems to tick all the right boxes.

PALLADAS back at his favorite distance on a drier surface and still ran a very well nice race last time here in the heavy. Will be hard to toss in what appears a good quinella race.

SMART ‘N’SEXY down in the weights is unbeaten on the track and won at her only track/distance attempt. One to throw into the exotics.

POLITICAL DEBATE was ultra impressive getting home from well back last time out in the Champagne. Will be short but looks the one to beat.

LIBERTY STEPS didn’t get a lot of luck last time out. Held up turning for home and pulled wide in the straight working to the line nicely. Should be a good bet for a drum.

WEST OF AFRICA got back in the ruck last time and once clear worked home steadily. Sure to have improved and look for a big run again.

ZOUGOTCHA won easily first time out and then worked home steadily in the Randwick heavy. Has had 4 weeks off and may have been waiting for the surface to dry out to make her return.

EXO LADY races up on the pace and may have found the distance a little too far last time out. Back to the 1200 looks suitable and trainer jockey combo is on fire.

HONEY POT one at odds here for a place ticket. Raced very greenly at her previous 2 runs and looks to have settled with a solid 2nd in a recent Doomben trial.

BOOMNOVA bolted in last time out here and races up on speed. If gets a similar run, will be very hard to get past in the run to the post.

CONTEMPTUOUS first up after 2 months off. Last start won comfortably at Eagle Farm back in March, after racing in behind the speed. If can get the race run to suit, will again be hard to beat.

GARIBALDI off a 147 day spell and does love racing at Eagle Farm. Usually racing well fresh into a preparation and if conditions suit with speed on, watch for him late.

An open affair with Chris Waller having 3 of the main chances. Leaning towards KIKU with James McDonald taking the ride. She has been competitive over the Sydney carnival without winning but this might be her turn.

NUDGE from the barrier will have to go back and rely on luck. Is a proven conveyance so definite winning claims with the right run.

BELLE PLAISIR is a handy mare coming off a Group 3 win at Morphettville last time out over Cherry Tortoni. Ran well over the Victorian Spring carnival and needs to be taken seriously.

LIGHTNING JACK coming off a fair effort first up at Scone on the heavy was only beaten 3.9L and has nice second up stats with 2 wins off 5 starts. Each way forever here.

VINCO ran 8th of 16 last week in the BRC sprint beaten only 1.8L. If can reproduce an effort like that again, is in with a definite winning hope.

LE GAI SOLEIL is a backmarker who relies on plenty of luck and speed in the run and if does get some of that, this girl could be storming over the top of them late.

Going to have something each way on SHOOTING FOR GOLD in this. Did not get through the heavy last start but was still brave. Third-up on firmer could be winning move.

KEMENTARI looks to be thrown into this with the set weights and if he can reproduce his best, should be right in the thick of things at the line.

WANDABAA was really strong at Scone in the Dark Jewel. Pike should be able to sit in behind the speed and if the runs come at the right time, watch out.

BARB RAIDER been racing in super form. Second in the Australasian Oaks 2 back and held on nicely to win here last week. Is hard fit and should run the journey right out.

GYPSY GODDESS has been good this time in with a second in ATC Oaks and another placing last time out in the Bracelet at Gold Coast. I feel she is the one they all have to beat.

ARAVENE has worked through the classes and gradually stepped up to this distance range. Seems dour and should be suited by the 2200m.

INGRATIATING don’t think this fella enjoyed the heavy last time out. He is all class, racing against some of our best sprinters and at nice each way odds, is my top pick to return to the winners list.

ATHELRIC has that picket fence beside his name. In career best form and was most impressive last time out at Scone. Must be included in the many winning chances.

PUTONTHEREDLIGHT racing very consistently and may pay to forgive the disappointing effort last time out in the Mick Dittman, as may not have been suited to the heavy going. Pike in the last is a plus!
