Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Friday’s Ascot meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 5

Rail Position: Out 2m entire circuit

FREQUENT FRIAR comes into this third-up from spell. Been a bit disappointing in two runs this time in but he is better than that and looking for him to improve.

SHEIKH IT gets back in much easier race than he has been racing in. Beaten less than 2 lengths here last start and he will be right in the mix.

CAFÉ NERA closed home strongly when beaten less than a length at Pinjarra last start. She is never far away and cannot leave her out of major players.

SILVER BUGG comes into this ready third-up from spell. Not been beaten all that far in two Pinjarra runs and she gets her chance to break maiden status.

SNIP’S ROCK was in the market here on debut but she drew wide and got well back. Liked the way she got to the line and sure to be better from the outing.

ALSEPHINA is the one to keep an eye on. Debutant who has shown enough at the trials and from her inside gate she should get her chance.

SNIP OF GLORY raced touch flat at Pinjarra last start but still not disgraced. Had been placed here first-up and third-up from spell she will be right in the mix.

SERVICEMAN has been racing in consistent form and a win not far away. Has got a wide gate to contend with but cannot leave out of chances.

AZTEC GOLD resumes from a spell. She was placed at Belmont when first-up last time in work and recent trial suggests she will run well fresh.

FIRST MISSILE has been a bit costly for punters in last couple of starts when beaten as a short priced favourite. Surely gets his chance to return to winners stall.

PENNYS AFIELD is yet to run a bad race at first prep. Finds similar race and she will be right in the mix again. Cannot leave out.

ALBUKHTURI looks ready to win this prep. He has been placed in his last couple of starts and from ideal barrier should get all the favours and go close in this.

COMEALILBITCLOSER has been racing in consistent form but just finding it tough to get back in the winners stall. Never far away in recent starts and gets chance to win.

BAMBUN BOY got his maiden out of the way at Pinjarra last start when powered away final stages. Now he has broken through he can go on and win again.

BIRDIEAGLE is another who looked impressive winning his maiden this track last start. No reason he cannot measure up to this.

NUHAD is screaming out for another win. She has been close up in her last two starts and this looks an easier affair. Despite barrier she goes on top.

CRITICAL ATTITUDE has been racing in consistent form. Won similar race here three starts back then been good in two runs since. She is a major player.

SO BIRIKKINO looked in need of the run when faded late at Pinjarra first-up from spell. Sure to be better from the outing and he can improve.

16:30 (local time)

BOURBON BEAU resumes. Only the one placing from his four first-up tries but he raced in consistent form last time in work and only needs that form to win this.

DREAM EVIL won here first-up then sat just off the speed and could not finish well enough last start. She will be right in the mix again.

SHOCK RESULT wanted to buck and lost rider two starts back then he was competitive for long way in better race last start. Drawn ideally and can figure.

THIS’LL TESTYA has found a purple patch of form winning his last couple with something in and including at Listed level last outing. Drawn to lead and can win again.

Forget AMASENUS went around in Listed company last start when always off the track and she was entitled to tire. Class mare and she can bounce back in this.

SEARCHIN’ ROC’S won the Listed Belgravia Stakes with ease when first-up last time in work. Recent trial will have her forward for this and she will be in finish.

PHONEME started favourite here last start but he had excuses when pulled up lame. Previous form strong for this and he can return to best form.

INVICTUS DOMINI comes into this third-up from spell. Likes to roll forward and makes his own luck and he looks ready to find best form

ELAFELLA was not too bad when made some late ground here first-up from a break. He will be better from that outing and would not leave out of multiples.
