Horse Racing Tips & Preview – Sandown Hillside | Wed 23rd March

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 5m entire circuit

MATSUKAZE looks ready to win his maiden. Been place in his last two starts both at this track and he gets his chance in this field.

BORS raced up on the speed and fought the race out tenaciously when placed at The Valley last start. Will go forward and make own luck and cannot dismiss.

DUN WARRIOR is a debutante from the Price/Kent stable. Jamie Kah takes the mount and he comes off soft Tatura trial win.

ADELLE AMOUR resumes from break. She won her maiden this track when fresh last time in work and from ideal barrier she may just be bit too smart for these.

MOREAN won maiden at Sale on debut then she was strong late at Pakenham. Has to take a step up again but she looks city class filly.

BELLE SAVIOR is another fresh from a break. She got her maiden out of the way at Ballarat on debut before going for break. Had over a year off but would not dismiss.

Might have something each way on EATON in this. Took on better race at The Valley last start and was just out of placings in the small field. Drawn to get ideal run and has advantage of apprentice claim.

PEARLMAN just got fraction too far off them here last start and he only battled from the corner. If he can sit a bit closer he can figure.

Liked the way FURIOSO hit the line when placed at Ballarat last start. Should get perfect run in behind the speed and will have last crack at these.

OLD FLAME is the big query in this race. UK import making his Australian debut. Showed enough in recent Randwick trial and if any money about must consider.

FARETTI controlled the race from the front but just found one better final stages here first-up. Fitter and he will take some catching in this.

LOGAN STREET LION is racing in super form having won his last couple. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and he can make it three in a row.

SENSE OF HONOUR resumes from break. She finished last prep with impressive win at Flemington. Won trial since and she can get away with this first-up.

STAR OF MANHATTAN did it tough wide at Ballarat last start but she still stayed tough and held second spot. Fitter and from ideal barrier must consider.

UNIVERSAL LADY won here two starts back then she had no luck when held-up here last start. Would not leave her out of chances.

OCEAN CHIEF made it three in a row with a decisive win at Pakenham last start. Racing in a purple patch of form and he can win again.

ORIENTAL LEGEND showed nice turn-of-hoof and got the job done at Pakenham last start. Lines up for three in row and no reason cannot win again.

ZIDLER was placed at The Valley two starts back then he showed speed before tiring here last start. If he can get a softer lead here he will take catching.

FLAMING TORCH relished the heavy ground winning maiden at Colac first-up. Prepared to suggest he can measure up to these and will be having something each way.

VIDIANO chased home steadily here last start and she was beaten less than 2 lengths. Will strip fitter and expect she will sneak into multiples.

SAINT OF KATOWICE led them up in Sydney last start and although he weakened final stages was still only 2 lengths off. Drawn touch wide but would not leave out.

BLACK BOLT raced up on the speed at Newcastle last start and he was only nabbed on line. Will go forward from wide gate and takes catching again.

LAFARQUE created a big impression when he bolted in to win maiden at Echuca last start. This a step up but he looks smart enough to figure.

MARIMENKO was not beaten all that far when placed here two starts back then just got too far back here last start. He can bounce back in this.
