T: James Cummings /J: Damien Oliver (58.5kg)
Is a superstar sprinter. Especially over this track and will be rattling home. The pace will be on in earnest from the get-go which will suit him. Have in your numbers.
T: Tony Gollan / J: Craig Newitt (58.5kg)
Is a Gr 1 winner at this track and just improves on this surface. Couldn’t run with Marabi last start first-up when beaten 6 lengths by her. is fitter now and can place. Bound to be right there at the finish.
T: Cliff Brown / J: Mark Zahra (58.5kg)
Has a powerful finishing burst when he is right. Also goes particularly well at this track. Well beaten after copping a check when resuming behind Home Affairs last start in the Gr 1 Lightning. Respect.
T: Team Jolly / J: Jake Toeroek (58.5kg)
Is a very smart visitor from South Australia and his honesty is commendable. Always a threat up to Gr 2 level. Goes well fresh and is resuming here having won at latest run in Jan vary beating Behemoth back at home. Place here.
T: Team Corstens / J: Fred Kersley (58.5kg)
Ridden up closer to the front and was fortunate enough to be on the much faster side of the track when narrowly beaten in the Gr 1 Newmarket this trip last start. Normally that form stands up in this but the bias is worth noting. Place.
T: Robbie Griffiths & Mat de Kock / J: Andrew Mallyon (58.5kg)
Is in fine form and not all that far away when 10th in the Gr 1 Newmarket last start, coming down the slow side of the track. Will find this hard for different reasons.
T: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou / J: Brenton Avdulla (58.5kg)
Sydney sprinter who seems ready to run a really bold race. Has had his foot on the till for some time. May find the flying mare too slick but will be right in the game for a placing.
T: Chris Waller / J: Craig Williams (56.5kg)
Lightly raced but gifted sprinter. Goes well this track and her first-up 3rd in the Gr 1 Newmarket was a superb run as she finished off hard. Strips fitter this time and does love this distance including 3 at this course.
T: Ciaran Maher & David Eustace / J: Ben Allen (56.5kg)
Superstar who is simply too quick for all of these. Unbeaten in 7 starts to date.
T: Team Hawkes /J: Jye Mcneil (56.5kg)
Interesting horse. Is very capable and is also honest. Tries her heart out every run. May just be a tier below the best of these here but will run boldly.
T: Mat Ellerton /J: Damien Thornton (56kg)
Smart 3Yo who will battle away well here now that he is super fit. But, was soundly beaten the only time he raced Marabi and she gave him 4kg that day. Can’t turn the tables here.
T: Ciaran Maher & David Eustace / J: Jamie Kah (56kg)
Is a gifted 3YO who has already set himself to have a future at stud. Yet to miss a place from his 7 starts to date but to be fair, they have been in the tier below this level. Is a stablemate of Marabi so may work hard to catch her late.
T: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace / J: John Allen (56kg)
Classy 3YO against his own level but this will test. Did run fast time in winning a Gr 2 over 1100m last start but rises in class, distance and weight here. Not keen.
T: Team Freedman /J: Brett Prebble (54kg)
Interesting horse. On form can’t win this, but she has won bother her starts at this track and they have been her best runs. May charge late because of that but can’t win.
T: Michael Moroney /J: Jordan Childs (58.5kg)
Handicapper who looks tested. Has pace and loves this track having won 4 times here but in weaker grade. May struggle.
