T: Team Hawkes / J: Tommy Berry (56kg)
Is so honest and so consistent and so tough. is third up here and she has been solid without being spectacular thus far. But is ready now. Will drop back from this bad gate however will come charging home.
T: Chris Waller / J: Brenton Avdulla (56kg)
Superstar in the making. Is just so honest. She puts in every start. After winning a Gr 1 against her own age she ran a stunning 3rd in an open mares Gr 1. Must be strongly fancied.
T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott / J: Regan Bayliss (56kg)
Good stayer when in form and looks ready for this. If she is allowed to bowl along in front without being touched up, she will win this. Her toughness is extreme and she is 3rd up.
T: Chris Waller/ J: Hugh Bowman (56kg)
Interesting horse. Won brilliantly first up against her own age and looked like being a world-beater. But the next two starts were good runs, both unplaced however. If she runs up to her best she is a big player.
T: Clarry Connors/ J:Nash Rawiller (56kg)
Good strong type from Melbourne who is coming off a placing when making a lot of ground late in a. gr 3 last start. Can run a place at odds.
T: David Vandyke/ J: Willy Pike (56kg)
Top notch and may actually be a real bonafide superstar. Has yet to taste defeat in 5 starts, past two at stakes level when she has been totally dominant in Queensland. This is tougher field but she looks well up to it.
T: Chris Waller/ J: James McDonald (56kg)
This might be a perfect race for her. She has brilliantly won her past three starts, albeit in weaker grade but she has won them with authority. Likes it heavy too and is on home track. Big show.
T: Kerry Parker / J: Kerrin McEvoy (56kg)
Nice, honest filly who chased home Pretty Amazing last start in a. Gr 3 race when 2nd. This is harder but should be thereabouts.
T: John Sargent /J: Robbie Dolan (56kg)
Interesting horse. Won two races out of town in nice fashion then steps per up to Gr 3 level last start and ran home gamely for 3rd to Pretty Amazing. May find this hard.
T: James Cummings /J: Jamie Kah (56kg)
Is pretty talented and can stay. was Oaks placed in Tasmania last start following a Melbourne handicap win. This is harder but can place.
T: Anthony Cummings / J: Josh Parr (56kg)
Handy filly who can stay but will struggle at Gr 1 level.
T: John Sargent / J: Rory Hutchings (56kg)
Hard to imagine a filly who fell in to win a provincial maiden 3 runs back being a threat in a Gr 1 but this filly is on the improve every start. Up a long way in grade but did win on a heavy track in a lowly BM 64 with absolute ease. Might surprise a few.
T: Matt Smith/ J: Kathy O’Hara (56kg)
Has talent but hasn’t enough to beat this field.
T: Brad Widdup / J: Brock Ryan (56kg)
Maiden who will be that way after this race too.
