1. PRIVATE EYE (16) 174185×350

T: Joe Pride /J: Brenton Avdulla (59kg)

Likes the mud and has a powerful finishing burst. Is a Gr 1 winner and is extremely strong at this distance. Therefore a lot to like about him. Recent trials have been super as well. Keep safe.

2. LAWS OF INDICES (21) 18x5x57304

T: Annabel Neasham/ J: Rachel King (59kg)

Good tough galloper who was 3rd at Gr 1 level in the George Ryder then beaten 4 lengths in the Gr 1 Doncaster before a game 4th in the Gr 1 All Aged Stakes over this trip. Freshened for this and should be considered. Big danger.

3. ELLSBERG (12) 12712×1273

T: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou /J: Nash Rawiller (59kg)

Everything points to him winning this. He is unbeatable first-up and has been freshened for this, will be on pace all the way, loves it wet and this is about his pet trip. Must for exotic players.

4. ELEVEN ELEVEN (4) 756x4181x4

T: Greg Hickman /J: Hugh Bowman (59kg)

Seems to run his best races in Queensland and comes into this well. Has a powerful finishing burst and ran home hard when 4th last start giving them all massive weight advantages. Set weights here helps and Hughie to ride. Has claims.

5. APACHE CHASE  (6) 0x114133x2

T: Desleigh Forster/ J: Jim Byrne (59kg)

Such a good honest on pace local who rates highly. Beaten a nostril last start when resuming this trip. Sure to be in the firing line throughout.

6. WILD PLANET (19) 10x20x7986

T: Team Hawkes / J: Willy Pike (59kg)

Is just not racing with all the zeal needed for this.

7. ROTHFIRE (14) 1x14x47x55

T: Rob Heathcote / J: James Orman (59kg)

Is capable, is local and can handle the mud. Is also brilliant on his day but hasn’t had a good day, for various reasons, for some time now. Two starts this time up have been strong in similar grade. Finished 5th both times. Fitter now.

8. OLMEDO (3) x0189x6072

T: Annabel Neasham / J: Brodie Loy (59kg)

Smart when right and has been steadily on the improve this campaign. Great finishing 2nd last start but in weaker grade. This still may test.

9. SIGNORE FOX (11) 3x5555x764

T:  Team Snowden / J: Ben Thompson (59kg)

Can run all over these if his mind is on the task. Is very fit and hasn’t been far away in recent starts. More then capable and last start 4th at Gr 1 level says he is ready.

10. Sierra Sue  (20) –

11. SEPTEMBER RUN (7) x37664x313

T: Chris Waller /J: Craig Williams (57kg)

Brilliant mare on her day. Won like a star at Gr 1 level at the Valley then went to Adelaide and ran home strongly for a cracking 3rd at Gr 1 level over 1200m. Gets back and will have to negotiate a path home but has power late.

12. ENTRIVIERE (17) x134x152x3

T: Mark Walker/ J: Opie Bosson (57kg)

Outstanding Kiwi mare who has won at Gr 1 level there. Resumed from a spell in the Gr 1 Doomben 10,000 last start and came from last on the bend to finish 3rd. Was the biggest run in the race. Has won at this trip and can handle wet ground. Big danger. This trip suits a lot.

13. PAULELE (8) 2210×10332

T: James Cummings/J: James McDonald (57kg)

Is racing very well of late and narrowly went down when 2nd in the Gr 1 Doomben 10,000 last start. The track has been drying out a good bit this week which should suit him a great deal. Should go very close.

14. ISOTOPE (13) 1Lx12x1x07

T: Tony Gollan /J: Ryan Maloney (57kg)

Extra smart and is up to this but needs things to go her way. Not suited to heavy tracks and has had to run on that at both recent starts and they have been at Gr 1 level. Beaten 5 lengths in the Doomben 10,000 last start. If the track has dried out a lot, she can win.

15. AWAY GAME  (18) 2286×23272

T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace/ J: John Allen (57kg)

Is just so good and so consistent and so honest and so up to this grade. Ran 2nd last start in Gr 1 Robert Sangster beating September Run home. Recently sold for $4million so this would be a great turn of events for her new owner if she can win. And should go close.

16. BROOKLYN HUSTLE (5) 0x054x2626

T: Jason warren & Dean Krongold / J: Jamie Kah (57kg)

Interesting galloper. Is capable of flashing home in this. Has won this journey. Last start rattled home from well back when 6th in the Gr 1 Robert Sangster. Place show.

17. SCALLOPINI (9) 6x662x61x2

T: Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted / J: Boris Thornton (59kg)

Very strong sprinter who can sit just off speed and be very effective late. Won over 1400m in Listed company then ran a great 2nd in the Gr 2 Victory Stakes over 1200m last start. Place show.

18. NICCANOVA (10) 5x43244x70

T: Steve Tregea / J: Anthony Allen (59kg)

Former very sound and competitive sprinter at this level but may be a couple of lengths off his best now.

19. JAMAEA (15) x418x93803

T:  Team Price / J: Tommy Berry (55kg)

Gets back and runs on very hard. Great 3rd to her stablemate Count De Rupee in the Gr 2 Victory Stakes last start but may just be a length behind the best of these.

20. RANCH HAND (1) 1745×24091

T: Chris Waller / J: Kerrin McEvoy (57kg)

Has a lot of talent. Is a strong 3YO who can finish off his races. Won much easier Open 3YO last start over 1400m impressively, but this is a lot harder. Place.

21. ALPINE EDGE (2) 27x1240x66

T: Team Edmonds / J: Robbie Fradd (57kg)

Started at $101 and ran on nicely when 6th in the Gr 1 Doomben 10,000 last start. Will struggle.
