T: Peter Moody /J: Jamie Kah (57kg)
New to this trip but he is 3rd up and his last start eye-catching 3rd in the Gr 2 Sires’ at this track when 9th for home says a lot. He should enjoy this journey and has to be considered. Respect.
T: Team McEvoy/ J: Kerrin McEvoy (57kg)
Talented type who scored over 1400m in SA Sires’ then up here rattled home from 13th of 18 on bend to grab 6th to Sheeza Belter in the QTC Sires’. Lots from that race here and he should like 1600m.
T: Tom Button /J: Luke Tarrant (57kg)
Ran 16th in the QTC Sires’ and would need a head start to beat these.
T: Chris Waller /J: James Mcdonald (57kg)
Is the boom horse and is very smart. Got home after copping bother and racing wide last start in the 1500m Phoenix here last week. Trainer thinks he’s a superstar in the making. Bound to run a blinder here too.
T: Les Ross/ J: Ben Thompson (57kg)
Quick back up here may suit. He will be big odds but the way he picked off runners late when 6th to Political debate last weekend says he could sneak a place at odds here. But can dash late.
T: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou / J: Brenton Avdulla (57kg)
Another honest hard colt with talent. And he may be pretty good. Lightly raced but stormed to victory 1400m 2YO at Flemington last start. Hit the line like this trip would suit. Tougher race but has determination.
T: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou / J: Nash Rawiller (57kg)
Is capable, and has had a very solid grounding to run very well here. After winning here over 1400m, went to Newcastle in stakes race and was 4th, with last start rattling home to run 5th to Sheeza Belter in the QTC Sires’. Came from 17th on the end so will love this trip.
T: Team Hubert / J: Mark Du Plessis (57kg)
Handy but does seem a couple of lengths off the real top brass. No.
T: John Sargent / J: Keagan Latham (57kg)
Star Sydney youngster on the improve every run. Stormed home out wide to win last start. Brings different form lines to this contest but the one thing he does look most likely to do – is run the trip out very strongly.
T: Team Rogerson / J: Hugh Bowman (57kg)
Kiwi star who looks a raw brilliant talent in the making. Stormed home to fail by a centimetre last start behind the boom horse Political Debate last week over 1500m giving the impression this will suit. Trainer thinks he is a Cox Plate horse so rates highly here.
T: Chris Waller /J: Jason Collett (57kg)
T: Chris Waller/ J: Tim Clark (57kg)
Lightly raced but can run all day. Worked hard late to narrowly win a midweek maiden last start over 1610m. This is harder but he might be a little better than many think. Place chance.
T: Michael Freedman/J: Tommy Berry (57kg)
Is racing well and just stays under the radar but is very smart. And tough. Has raced three times for a win and two placings, latest being last week when beaten two lengths by the stars Political Debate and Sharp’N’Smart. Will run on hard here.
T: Kacy Fogden /J: Ryan Maloney (57kg)
Maiden galloper who has ability. This may be a length or so better than him but he did run well when beaten a length in a maiden won by the smart Ringmaster. A win would surprise but could sneak a place at big odds.
T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace / J: John Allen (57kg)
Victorian who is speedy and tough. After winning Sale maiden, led and fought on well when beaten half a length at Flemington by Brosnan over 1400m. This is longer and harder though.
T: Team Snowden/ J: Willy Pike (55kg)
Interesting galloper. Is originally from WA where she was the star attraction. Came to Randwick and in three starts has shown a lot of talent. Is better when ridden quietly early and showed that last start when storming home to claim the QTC Sires’ over 1400m racing like this trip will be perfect. Must be fancied.
T: Kelly Schweida / J: Larry Cassidy (55kg)
Is handy in weaker grade. These guys will test her.
T: Chris Waller / J: Craig Williams (55kg)
