Horse racing Tips – Good Friday 15th April

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Canberra meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Track: Good

This is a pretty weak maiden field. I like home track advantage and the way NOBLE EXCEPTION performed at this level in his debut campaign, suggests to me he is capable of a maiden win. And this is the maiden. From 3 runs last prep, he did run a place – at Moruya which is the same level as this. His one run back from a spell was a fitness maker. He went to the front and stayed there as long as he could, eventually running a solid 7th, beaten less than 5 lengths and the runner-up that race was a great 2nd again at Albury yesterday. He strips a lot fitter for this and he has firmed a lot overnight as well. Toss in GRAVY TRAIN MAGPIE for 2nd and we should be making a profit.

Surely today is the day for EYES TO EYE. He is 4th up from a spell and has now changed trainers three times, firstly winning his maiden with Annabel N Neasham, then failing a few times with Team Freedman, before Richard split with his brother Michael and linked with son Will Freedman. This is the first run for the new combo. And he looks well placed, certainly on best form. Was beaten just on a length last start in a BM 64 when not quite ready. Down a bit in grade here and while doubts still exist re him getting a strong 2000m, he may not need to in order to beat these. SKY ACE can run. the quinella.

This lovely trained mare DEVIL’S TRIANGLE looks perfectly placed. She is tough and honest and in sparkling form. She has drawn perfectly too and was beaten a length the day she met Shelby Sixty-six!
