Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Tamworth and Canberra meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!
Track: Soft 7 (Canberra)
Given a few factors here such as home track advantage and the way this event maps, I think at big odds MOOKAREENA can cross from this outside gate and pretty much lead all the way. She is temperamental in the sense when she wants to she can just keep going. But when challenged before the turn, she folds like a deck of cards. Today, apart from possibly TWIG, nothing looks like going forward so she gets a free pass out in front and does have a good record at this track. Quinella them by the way.
I like AMEN BROTHER in this. Has has drawn to receive a lovely run just behind the speed and he is having his 3rd start here after a great 2nd last start. Was scratched from a midweek city race this week for this which suggests connections rate him today. SILVINCIBLE has been well backed so perhaps quinella them here.
Tip: AMEN BROTHER
The fact trainer Cody Morgan, who trains his team here at Tamworth, has kept this galloper TIEMPE PASSATE in this after scratchings from this outside gate, gives me great confidence. He’s only had the had a couple of months and this is his first run for the trainer after previously being trained by Team Freedman. But he has trialled and won his trial impressively. When a trainer gets a new horse and it shows him plenty of the track, confidence grows and this bloke has been smashed overnight on the corporates. As a result, must be the one to watch. Throw in LOVELIER and we have an obvious expected $3.40 quinella.
