Warwick Farm Tips – Wednesday 1st June

Racing expert, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three in each race for the  Warwick Farm meeting. Good luck, punters!

Rail: True

Track: Heavy 10

Warwick Farm R1  3YO Mdn Hcp 1200m

12:50 (AEST)

SAWREY is up from Kembla with just the one run under his belt. It was a nice effort finishing the race off hard running 3rd at his home track. Since spelled and recent trials have been excellent. Worth a look at.

REGAL POM owned and probably named after his trainer Annabel Neasham, must be frustrating her a bit. He has talent but has placed 6 times at this level without winning. Resumes here after a series of placings and yep, ran 2nd in a recent trial.

BEIRUT MISS is on debut. Has won a city trial and recently looked handy when placing in one. Is on home track too.

Warwick Farm R2 – 2YO Mdn Hcp 1100m

13:25 (AEST)

CONTEMPORARY was being well supported in the early big juvenile races but he just didn’t show up. Ran 5th at this level recently when resuming. Can place here.

RIVER DANZKA looks talented. On debut got back, found good part of the track, then charged home in Inglis Challenge finishing 2nd. Drew wide that day and that experience will help a great deal in this.

RAMONES is on debut and market needs to be closely watched. Won a trial in the mud by a furlong. Might be a real mudlark.

Warwick Farm R3 – Mdn (3YO) 1400m

14:00 (AEST)

I do think VILLEINS is ready to win. Charged home to run 2nd this grade last start and is now having 4th start. Super fit and experienced enough to shake this.

MYSTIC MERMAID has foot on till too so this will be a good contest. Placed twice from three runs this time up and is perfect cutely placed.

CONCORDIA was nice 4th in slightly weaker race when resuming but small field will suit here.

Warwick Farm R4 – BM72 (3YO + females) 1300m

14:35 (AEST)

MOSHT UP has become the latter day Shelby Sixtysix in the sense she is holding her form well and is racing every week. Gets a 2kg weight allowance here, is better than these and loves it wet. Chance again.

SUR LA MER really looked strong winning last prep. Since was a strong finishing 2nd this grade when resuming. Sure to run on again.

KOUKLARA is so consistent and tough. She resumes here and simply because of all the above she has to be included. Is on home track too.

Warwick Farm R5 – BM72 Hcp 1400m

15:10 (AEST)

So fascinating to see how this English import IMRAHOR goes here. He raced without success in stakes grade in England before being sold and sent down here. Gets in extremely well with the 3kg allowance and may well be worth having in your numbers as he seems to be a dab hand in the wet too. Has claims.

PARK AVENUE won weaker race impressively last start. Many times getting a win on the board turns horses on.

FINEPOINT looks to have a lot of up side. Returned to racing after a spell this grade with a sound 3rd. Surely strips fitter and  stronger for this.

Warwick Farm R6 – BM72 (3YO+) 1000m

15:45 (AEST)

Interesting equation here. NEVER SECOND is well, 2nd up today. But did win 2nd up last campaign and looks the goods again today. Watch the market with this one.

GIRL MANIA is smart enough and is 3rd up here. Won handsomely 3rd up last prep and is ready to run boldly again.

Hard to quantify how smart PETULANT is. We know she is very fast and her two wins have been in much weaker company but resumes here coming off a great trial win. Respect.

Warwick Farm R7 – BM72 Hcp 1600m

14:20 (AEST)

You just know from this outside gate that SO UNITED will charge and try and lead. If they hand up and let him do so, then being 3rd up at a trip he’s run well at before, he looms large.

BALTIC COAST is rising in grade here but has won at past two starts, both since resuming. May well be up to this as he is lightly raced and on the improve. Looks to be pretty sharp.

CHATEAUX PARK is so honest and will be again here. Gets back and runs home hard.
