History: Played 121: Raptors 69 V 76ers 52

Last meeting: April 24, 2022: Raptors 110 d 76ers 102 at Scotiabank Arena

Final Thoughts: After keeping the series alive with a Game 4 win at home, the Raptors head to Philly in an attempt to extend their First Round rubber with the 76ers further.

Philadelphia powered out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of convincing victories at Wells Fargo Center.

Tyrese Maxey went off for 38 points, Tobias Harris scored 26, and James Harden (22 pts, 14 ast) and Joel Embiid (19 pts, 15 reb) made strong contributions in a 131-111 Game 1 blowout. The Sixers shot 50 percent from three-point range.

Embiid (31 pts, 11 reb) took control in a 112-97 Game 2 success, ably supported by Maxey (23 pts, 9 reb, 8 ast) and Harris (20 pts, 10 reb).

The Raptors started fast in the Toronto-hosted Game 3 but ultimately went down 104-101 in overtime, with Embiid (33 pts, 13 reb) capping another massive performance with the winning three-pointer with 0.8 seconds of OT left.

Raptors in the nick of time

The improving Raptors got off the mark in a must-win Game 4 encounter, prevailing 110-102. The hosts kept Embiid relatively quiet, while frontcourt spearhead Pascal Siakam (34 pts, 8 reb, 5 ast) produced the most explosive effort by a Toronto player this series. The Raptors took the result despite a dreadful 8-for-34 three-point shooting night.

OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr and Fred VanVleet – who is questionable for Game 5 due to a hip complaint – have had their moments in this series but have lacked consistency.

Embiid was hampered by a thumb injury in Game 4 but should be in better shape as the 76ers aim to wrap up their Semi-final berth here. The fourth-seeded Sixers are a modest 26-17 at home this season (19-24 ATS) but have won their last five in Philadelphia by at least 15 points. The Raptors are 24-19 on the road (25-17-1 ATS) but have won just one of their last five on American soil.

The 76ers are giving away plenty of points at the line for such a vital encounter for the Raptors, but they look the goods to win, cover and advance.
