Horse Racing Tips – Tuesday 7th June

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Armidale meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

I think today I might just open the wallet and have a real good go. I like GO SEEKING and literally cannot see anything getting near him. Today is his 4th race start. He did place this grade last start at Gunnedah when leading over 1250m and getting run down late. You may think the 1400m, therefore, is a worry and it is if he is taken on. This is where I think he wins the race because others will see him as the natural front-runner and will note he tired last start, so he will get left alone on the lead. Without that mid race pressure he will kick when they turn for home and win easily. GUCCI SLIDERS can run on I not 2nd. Quinella them up.

Interesting race. I do think this former city trained galloper RUSSIAN STANDARD  leads all the way here. He has been absolutely crunched overnight with the bookies following his easy trial win recently. Has been transferred from Mark Newnham to Cody Morgan and he drops in class here. Does resume from a spell but showed talent placing three times at provincial level. I suspect he brains this lot. ALL BEANS to run the quinella.

I don’t mind backing 4kg kids and Cassey Williams, who is having her 2nd race ride here, is going to carry my cash today. She rides HASALAKE who is owned by the trainer Stirling Osland. And I watched her first ride, when she had this $16 thing travelling on the fence to the bend. She angled out for a run once they turned only to be shut out, so immediately, Hugh Bowman-like, she darted back to the rails and drove him home along the paint failing by a head. The 4kg she takes off Hasalake will be a huge help as he’s in form.
