Horse Racing Tips – Tuesday 22nd March

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the race meeting this afternoon at Newcastle with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!

Interesting race here. I’ve always lived by the adage, be very wary of dual-acceptors. And the well-tried AUDETTE is that horse here having won her maiden quite brilliantly on debut. Has been well backed overnight too, but gee it is hard to look past the class of this filly CHIMES. She has a big weight today coming off only a Scone maiden win but she has raced against far, far superior horses and should be even better this prep. Has won a recent trial to get her up for this fresh assignment. Quinella them at least.

Tip: CHIMES

Here’s a fun race. Lots and lots of chances but I am settling on the potential of FIVE CROWNS in this. He’s raced three times thus far for a pair of wins at his first two starts then beaten on a very heavy track at Port Macquarie last start. Then was sent for a long spell. Has recently won a trial so looks back in shape and this should suit. is up in class but he may just be classy enough himself. I like POSEIDON RULER for 2nd.  They do look the quinella so box them all up.

Tip: FIVE CROWNS

I’m on the honest mare here DECADENT TALE. I know there is a $1.45 fav in this race named OXFORD VISION, who to be fair, if he repeats his debut run when 2nd will win. But He’s drawn very wide, has to lump 60kg and sometimes those gut-busters on debut take the stuffing out of horses. So Decadent tale who has raced 5 times for 5 placings in this grade, gets the nod. She resumes here and ran a slashing trial recently. Well worth the gamble and naturally quinella them up.
