Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the Gosford and Albury meetings this afternoon, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!
Interesting race here. I think you will find that both KINROSS and SPECIAL TREATS will charge out of the gates and find themselves in an early battle for supremacy out in front, which Special Treats may win. but parked in behind them will be JUNGLE FEVER on the rails and SALUTE AGAIN. I do think the winner will come from this quartet. I’m inclined to think Jungle Fever will improve the most from his most recent run, which was a handy 8th on a very heavy track where he raced on the worse, slowest part. He was 5th two strides from the line. If he has benefitted from that outing and it’s not to damp he can finish too well and catch Special treats. Quinella them.
Here’s a fascinating race. Nothing has been backed to get anywhere near the two in the market: FIELDING who is long odds on, and the top weight LEGEND RULES. And it’s the latter I like. His past two starts have been strong front-running efforts where he was on speed at this level and was collared late, placing both times. So he should strip immeasurably fitter this time, meaning he won’t stop. But the main factor in his favour is Kerrin McEvoy rides. He has been handled by apprentices at his past two runs and a senior rider will add two lengths on his powers. Watch market.
Tip: LEGEND RULES @ $2.30
A Chris Waller stayer in a low-key BM race. Yeah, I’m going to get on. He saddles KITERRO here. She is 4th up and so should be ready to rumble. Ran a place in a slightly weaker, but shorter race last start. She is bred to stay and I think she can run over these late.
Tip: KITERRO @ $4.00
