Horse racing Tips – Sunday 29th May

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Gunnedah meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

I was on INDICATIVE last start for his new trainer Cam Crockett and he did a great job finishing hard in a similar race to grab 2nd. Must be fitter now as he was resuming that day. Drawn perfectly and the straight here will play to his racing style. Previously had run 2nd on 3 occasions at this level for his last trainer. Looks to me to be a really safe bet today. I like the former Victorian HOKU also to flash home from a mile back and grab the 2nd spot. He comes in well at the weights following a claim.

Interesting race. I suspect by now the Scone horse FIENDISH may be fit and ready to rumble. He has drawn wide and has 61kg to lug around but he also has finishing power. Aaron bullock, a heavyweight rider, should be able to get him into a nice rhythm in about 6th spot, one off to the bend and then send him zooming home down the outside in the fast lane. Drops in grade from an inglorious 8th last start. Big chance.

The five scratchings make this a pretty even affair and when that’s the case, generally the best performed runner prevails. That bloke is TWO BIG FARI here. He is 3rd up into this and even with the claim he has to lump 61.5kg around. But his exploits in the past have earned that. Drawn the outside gate which is a worry with an apprentice on top, but he races best when allowed to find his feet anyway so he may be last for home. But can swoop late.
