Horse Racing Tips – Rosehill | Sat 19th Feb

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True entire

ARCTIC WOLF resumes here after many solid runs last campaign at this level. Drawn better than most and looks to run boldly. Has a good first-up record. Will run on.

STEPLEE is progressive. Stormed home from a mile back in 11th spot at Newcastle last start this trip to just fail and if there is any rain about will improve even more. This is harder but he is very fit and can run on.

MARKIEVICZ is on fire and racing with relish. Won past three including a Highway last start. Will get back but watch her dash home.

Tip: STEPLEE

How can you look past RULE OF LAW? He has discovered what the racing game is all about, winning past 4 on the bounce. Is simply low flying at present and this is in his wheelhouse. Big show.

SHADOW CRUSH rises 2kg for his game and comfortable last start win at this level. That was two in a row for him and he is going great guns too.

EMANATE is enigmatic but she is more than capable of finishing over the top of these. Is 2nd up here after a good 4th when resuming at this level.

Tip: EMANATE

This looks a strong race, and a fascinating race. MILITARY EXPERT should run well. Very well in fact. Tremendous first-up effort when 5th last start in a similar race. Has to be fitter now.

McCORMACK has taken a while but he seems to have run himself back into form and his 2nd at this level last start was a cracking run. Certain to be dashing at them late.

His stablemate, MISS REDOBLE is also firing up and she won two starts back. Gets a 2kg claim here and looks very well placed. Big danger.

Tip: MILITARY EXPERT

On her best form KRONE looks thrown in here. Her two starts this time up have been handy, finishing 5th in both. Should be super fit now.  Runs on hard.

ROCHA CLOCK is so talented. Just a top class mare who puts in every start. Won over $1m in prize money thus far. Resumes here and is on home track. Sure to be in the money.

EXPAT likes it wet and when she has the sting out of the ground, she goes hard all the way and takes a power of beating. Has twice beaten the smart Brookspire this prep. Looks the pace.

Tip: 1. KRONE

Tough race. This MAZU is more than handy. Has improved as he matures and resumes here after impressive trial. Last prep did win a stakes race over 1200m. Respect him.

NASTURTIUM is up a long way in grade but that may not make a difference. He’s a natural born speed horse. Has won 3 from 3 by leading and running them off their legs. Could just do the same.

ABLE WILLIE is strong and his racing legs have been fitted by a great 2nd when resuming. Only had the 3 runs but is already stakes placed. Must be respected.

Tip: 1. NASTURTIUM

BEST OF BORDEAUX was so powerful on debut. Led all the way and booted away to win at Gr 3 level. Must be strongly considered here. Will be taken on but appears to have gears and must have improved from debut win.

MAGIC is on debut. Has had 3 trials and placed in all of them. He cost $2.8m as a yearling and has awesome looks. But, can he run at this level? Well, watch market.

QUEEN OF THE BALL is extremely good. She is very fast and slaughtered a strong field last start when resuming. Drawn the fence here. If she jumps she can lead all the way.

Tip: 1. QUEEN OF THE BALL

ENTENTE is first-up, over this trip and has to lump a big weight. Hmmm, but at least he is a strong stayer this level and trip. Probably tries to lead them and if left alone he may take some catching. Watch betting moves re him.

PARRY SOUND has the bad draw and may not be as explosive as a couple of these but what he is – is tremendously honest. Sure to make a charge late with this weight.

TOOMUCHTOBEAR is up in class but you just cannot fault his form. Just knows how to win and is on home track. Finished hard to win a BM88 last start. Bound to dash late.

Tip:  1. TOOMUCHTOBEAR

What a good contest. It will be interesting to see how much improvement the star ANAMOE has taken from his tough, hard=fought 3rd when resuming last start. Comes back to his own age group which he dominated last campaign and over. trip that suits. Big show.

CONVERGE is a more-than-capable 3YO. on his day his finishing power is unstoppable. was a solid 3rd to Paulele first-up over 1200m and this trip suits a whole lot more. Chance.

RANCH HAND is better than a lot of people think. He has finishing power and is coming into his own. Will be running on. On home track here and is fitter now after a great 2nd first-up this grade.

Tip: 1. ANAMOE

Tough race to work out. NEW ARRANGEMENT resumes here and last campaign was always thereabouts at this level. On home track here and a watch on his betting is recommended.

His stablemate GIANNIS is a bit hit and miss. On his day he can flash home and win at this level. No speed at all when resuming but this may be easier. Has been working the house down.

MATOWATAKPE was slaughtered last run when sent to the front at a cracking speed. Up in grade here, down in weight, new rider and is super fit. On the quick back-up too.

Tip: MATOWATAKPE

DAJRAAN looked v very impressive at Aussie debut after coming down from England where form was solid. But looked even better when strolling away with a BM 72 midweek. Harder here but looks rather progressive. Big show.

Four starts this time up have all been good for TAMARLANE without winning. Gets a good shot at it this time.

SINDACATO is smart and lightly raced and is here racing for the first time after winning a few in NZ. With Chris Waller and Hughie rides. Watch betting moves.

Tip:  1. DAJRAAN
