Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Warrnambool | Wed 4th May

Form student, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Day Two of the Warrnambool Carnival, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 6

Rail Position: True

YELLOW SAM is the big query here. She has looked impressive winning jumpouts with something in hand. Damien Oliver jumps aboard and happy to put her on top on debut.

JAMARRA comes into this off a couple of close city placings. He has the advantage of race experience and should go close to winning this.

DON’T CHANGE has not been disgraced in two career runs and he finds what looks a winnable race. Must include in multiples.

LIFE LESSONS was well supported in town on debut but just found one better late but she beat the others by a big space. Better from the race experience and can go one better.

TOREGENE is a debutant from the Matthew Williams stable. Always and advantage to have first start on home track and Jamie Kah jumps aboard. She will have support.

HOLLYWOOD SIREN resumes from break. She was not beaten all that far in either run at first campaign. If forward enough she will be right in the mix.

EAGLESAURUS has been racing in consistent form this time in and a win does not look far away. Awkwardly drawn but this looks nice race for him.

FRIDAY AT FIVE is screaming out to win her maiden. Been placed in last three starts leading into this and this is no harder. She is nice each way value.

SAMEDI led them up until last stride on the heavy ground at Bendigo last start. May get similar conditions here and cannot leave him out.

PAGADOR resumes from break. He was placed in both runs last time in work. This looks a nice starting point for him and if any money about must consider.

RAYZA WARRIOR has not been beaten all that far in any of his three runs this time in. Comes into this rock hard fit and he is ready to break maiden status.

TYPICALLY BRAZEN is another that has been racing in good form and she looks ready to win. Placed in last three starts and although drawn wide must consider.

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott bring RUNAWAY to Warrnambool primed to win the Steeple. Eased down after leading in hurdle last start. Won recent Steeple trial this track and he goes on top.

ELVISON battled on well on the flat first-up and did enough to get ready for this. Was not beaten far in recent Steeple trial and he will be in finish.

HIERARCHAL resumes from spell. Won on the flat this track before going for a break. Three Steeple trials leading into this will have him ready.

SAUNTER BOY just proved a touch too strong winning Bourke Hurdle at Pakenham last start. Finds similar race and he can make it two in a row.

OUT AND DREAMING raced on the speed and fought the race out tenaciously at Pakenham last start but just found one better. He will be prominent for a long way.

ST ARNICCA won Hurdle this track two starts back then he was a little disappointing at Pakenham last start. He can bounce back in this.

Going to have something each way on SUGARTOWN. She won when fresh last time in work and raced consistently progressing to Listed company before break. Drawn ideally and she will go close.

HYPERSONIC won with something in hand at Ballarat first-up then went to Caulfield and started favourite but weakened last 200m. Needs luck from barrier but would not dismiss.

MCKEEVER won two in a row before holding placing at Stawell last start. Racing well and must respect him in this field.

Hard not to tip SHOWMANSHIP to win the Wangoom. He won all six starts when last in work including last couple since coming to Melbourne. Won recent Colac trial and looks ready for this.

POLAND took on a G1 Newmarket three starts back and not been too bad in two runs since. He should be suited to long straight at Warrnambool and will be steaming home late.

Of the locals going with PAUL’S REGRET to be prominent. She is yet to miss a place in any of her five first-up tries and she can figure.

VISINARI could not have been more impressive winning at Pakenham last start when sprinted away winning by over 7 lengths. He only needs that form to get away with this.

FLASH FLOOD was placed here two starts back then went to town and made some steady late ground. Ready third-up from spell and can get away with this.

KNOCK KNOCK showed good speed and sprinted clear final stages to win first-up at Geelong. Drawn to get perfect sit on pace again and no reason he cannot win again.

Tough race to finish the program and settled on something each way MARK OF THE MAN. No better rider than Linda Meech on horses up on the speed and he will be in this for a long way.

LUNATIC FRINGE looked in need of the run when making good late ground at Hillside. Better from the outing and she will be chasing home late.

GONNADANCEALOT was dominant winning at Terang two starts back then she was super when leading at Morphettville last start. She can lead and takes catching again.
