Horse Racing Tips & Previews – The Valley | Fri 25th March

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Friday’s Moonee Valley meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True entire circuit

ABLE WILLIE looks well placed in this race coming off some consistent recent form. He has not been around The Valley which is a little query but Jamie Kah aboard a bonus.

ZARASTRO started favourite at Flemington last start but pulled up lame when just out of placings. Should strip fitter and would not leave out of chances.

GROWL sustained a long run and just finished too well for them here last start. Should sit in behind the speed and if he can get a gap from the corner will go close again.

Tip: ZAMBORGHINI

AMINATU only just missed here two starts back then she had no luck from wide gate here last start and was entitled to tire. Drawn perfectly here and she can bounce back.

POINT BLAZE was not beaten all that far in Listed company in Adelaide first-up from break. Only needs natural improvement and she will go close in this.

JUCCONI looked touch unlucky behind Growl here first-up. He powered home and although drawn awkwardly here look for him late.

Tip: AMINATU

NANAGUI is still eligible for maiden class but she has taken on and been placed in two Group 3 races. Gets back in what looks a slightly easier race and she can finally break through.

CROSSWINDS gave a maiden field a galloping lesson at Ballarat on debut when slipped away from the corner and won under a hold. He can measure up to city class.

Not often the Trinder’s bring one across Bass Strait if they can’t win. BELLO BEAU has been dominant winning all three starts and last couple at Listed class. He is the query runner.

Tip: NANAGUI

FLYING MASCOT is racing in super form winning her last two starts at Group 3 level with ease. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and she can win again.

BARB RAIDER is a quality filly who is racing in career best form coming off a G2 Kewney Stakes win last start. Only query with her is she has not been around The Valley but she is all class.

QUANTUM MECHANIC just got too far back at The Valley but she made some good late ground and out to the mile will suit her.

Tip: FLYING MASCOT

YULONG COMMAND controlled the race from the front and he won as he liked here last start. Finds similar and he is the one to beat again.

BLESS HER usually finds best form when fresh from a spell (5:1-1-2). First time she has been to The Valley but if she can sit close enough she can finish all over these.

ESTA LA ROCA was placed in Listed company at Caulfield first-up then she went to Flemington and beaten less than a length in hot Flemington sprint. She loves The Valley.

Tip: YULONG COMMAND

POLEAXED was perfectly rated out in front by Ben Allen winning at Hillside last start. Expect they will try similar tactics and he can lead and win again.

INVERELL was touch disappointing last start but he had won well first-up and comes into this ready third-up from spell. Must include in winning chances.

LOOK SHARPISH battled on when placed at Cranbourne last start and she finds similar race here and she can figure in exotics.

Tip: POLEAXED

How can you possibly go against MARABI. Unbeaten in seven starts and comes off a stunning on pace win in the G1 Oakleigh Plate. Won the Australia Stakes this track/distance two back.

GENERATION is a smart three-year-old who won at Group 3 level last time he was at The Valley. This his toughest test but think he can measure up.

Could SEPTEMBER RUN finally be finding her best form. She charged home late to grab a minor placing in the Newmarket and if she gets clear passage will be screaming home.

Tip: MARABI

ANCIENT GIRL was so impressive from the front at Morphettville last start when she gave Listed field a galloping lesson. If she produces similar she will win this.

SO YOU SEE was dominant winning maiden on debut then beaten less than 2 lengths in the G2 Kewney. She is up to winning this.

The painter tipped BON’S A PEARLA at Caulfield and it cost us half a mill then she went to Flemington and was enormous. If she produces that run she will go close.
