Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Sandown Lakeside | Mon 18th April

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Monday’s Sandown Lakeside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: +4 entire circuit

VALIANCY is a debutant from the all-conquering Maher/Eustace stable. Down enough in her jumpouts to suggest she has ability and if any support must consider.

BORN HUSTLER won her Traralgon trial with something in hand. Drawn to get the perfect run in behind the speed and she will be competitive at first start.

MISS DUNSFORD has the advantage of race experience. Produced a sharp turn-of-hoof and got the major prize on debut. No reason cannot go on with it here.

Tip: VALIANCY

FULLER resumes from spell. Started odds on favourite but just found one better on debut at Yarra Valley. Sent to the paddock after that run and must consider fresh.

SHOHEI showed good speed to lead at Newcastle on debut but was claimed final couple of strides. Sure to be better from the race experience and cannot leave out.

HALLOWED GROUND is screaming out to break his maiden status. Fought hard when placed at Kyneton last start and third-up from spell is ready.

Tip: FULLER

PERFECT WORLD looked in need of the run when did not finish the race off well enough. Strips fitter and she is much better than that. Expect improvement.

LADY COURT resumes. She won her maiden at Pakenham on debut then went to town and just missed last start. Had a break and from ideal barrier she goes close.

VERSILIA has been dominant winning her last couple of starts with dominance. She looks city class and gets her chance to make it three straight.

Tip: PERFECT WORLD

ARRAN BAY resumes from a spell. Raced in consistent form last time in work winning two of four starts and placed in other two. Recent trial will have him forward enough for this.

DEPRIVATION fought the race out strongly and won first-up then he was placed at The Valley last start. Third-up and looks nice each way odds.

LAFARGUE won his maiden by a big space at Echuca two starts back then he made good late ground when placed at Hillside last start. He will be in finish again.

Tip: ARRAN BAY

CIRRINA comes into this ready to win third-up from spell. Placed at The Valley fresh then just found one better last start. Drawn ideally and happy to have something each way.

ESTORIL PARK had the perfect run and was too strong two back then she was placed in Group 3 company in Tasmania last start. She will give this a shake.

FIERY RED chased home strongly and ran into minor spot here first-up. He will be better from that outing and looks a place chance.

Tip: CIRRINA

DETONATOR JACK looks smart. Still does a few things wrong and takes on some seasoned gallopers here but happy to go with potential and stick him on top.

EAGLEMONT created a big impression winning at Ballarat first-up then not disgraced at The Valley last start. He gets chance to return to winners stall.

EUREKA STREET chased home a dominant Point Nepean at Bendigo last start. Going to need a touch of luck from barrier but should be competitive.

Tip: DETONATOR JACK

Really like PRINCESS RHAENYS at the odds first-up from a break. Won her maiden with authority on debut then thrown in the deep end in the G1 Vinery before break. She will run a cheeky race.

BLACK BOLT showed a nice turn-of-hoof and got the job done at Hillside here last start. Going to need some luck from horror barrier but looks a chance.

ZERELLE did not measure up to Group 1 class two back then went too hard up front last start and weakened. Has speed and he can lead these for a long way.

Tip: PRINCESS RHAENYS

HOSIER pulled up sore when beaten odds on favourite at Flemington last start and was sent straight to paddock. If forward enough he will be take some catching.

EAGLES CRAIG resumes from a spell. Placed behind Doncaster winner Mr Brightside when first-up last time in work. If he finds that form he will be right in the mix.

LYRICAL LAD resumes from a spell. Yet to be placed fresh in two tries but he raced consistently last time in work and despite wide gate must be respected.

Tip: HOSIER
