Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Sandown Hillside | Wed 16th March

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True entire circuit

LALAGUNA looked impressive winning a Cranbourne jumpout. Hard to leave a Maher/Eustace debutant out of main chances and a red hot Jamie Kah aboard. She goes on top for me.

OVER SHADY showed some good speed to win Mornington jumpout. Looking for her to cross and lead these and if gets own way can win on debut.

STAR MAGIC has the advantage of race experience on her side and she showed plenty of speed and will be better from the outing.

LOTTACHEEX is the big query for me making a return to racing. She was super in her first two starts then forget run before break when always wide. She can win this fresh.

RUPERT’S DELIGHT has been a model of consistency and he deserves a win. Comes into this off two sound placings and a must for winning chances.

Peter Moody/Luke Nolen team up with a promising debutant in HOLLYWOOD PARK. Won recent Pakenham jumpout and will expect him to have plenty of support.

STRETTO was sent out favourite here first-up from spell and thought he did enough holding placing. Jamie Kah stays aboard and he will be better from the outing.

SEGUSO started odds on at Pakenham last start but just found one better final stages. This looks nice race from him and he will take some catching.

I AM YOURS still looks to have plenty to learn but despite racing greenly got his maiden out of the way here last start. Now he has won he can go on with it here.

Liked the Australian debut of GRID. Went keenly but still battled on and held on for gutsy minor placing. Looks the leader again and he can win this.

RELIABLE DUDE arguably should have won here last start but the form guide says he ran second last but he was badly held-up. If he gets some clear room he will go close in this.

LIVINGSTONE FALLS had some excuses here first-up when she pulled up lame but she was still not beaten far. Sure to strip fitter and she will make her presence felt.

LAYBUY won in similar race this track/distance two starts back then he went to The Valley and chased home bravely. Back on bigger track ideal.

RIOTOUS MISCHIEF was making good late ground when placed here first-up from spell. Will appreciate the step out to this trip and she will be right in mix.

POLEAXED looks the likely speed and if they leave him alone he has proven hard to get by so he must be included in exotics.

YUKON deserves a win. Been a model of consistency this time in with three placings from four starts. Drawn ideally and if he settles a touch better he can win this.

UPSWING comes into this third-up from spell. Placed at The Valley first-up then was not beaten all that far here last start. Cannot dismiss.

ZACHAZ finished too well and got the job done first-up at Lakeside then he just found the class a little too hot at Flemington last outing. Back in winnable race.

POINT NEPEAN looked like he needed the run at Geelong at Australian debut. Imports usually take a couple of runs before finding their feet in Australia and would expect him to improve.

ECO WARRIOR chased hard final stages and got the prize at Benalla two starts back then he hit the line hard when placed this track last start. That form good for this.

MILETUS battled on valiantly when just missed placing here last start. Never far away in his races and a must for multiples at nice each-way odds.

COMMANDS THE FIELD deserves a win. She has been placed in all three starts this time in and she gets a winnable race here. Looks nice each way value.

ONIKA demolished a maiden field at Bendigo first-up. She obviously finds a much harder race but she looks smart and she can go on with it here.

NORTHERN MELODY is another who has been threatening to win a race this campaign with a string of placings. Drawn ideally and she will be right in the mix again.

FORBIDDEN CITY gave a maiden field a galloping lesson here two starts back when she won by 8 lengths. Forget she went around in Group 2 company last start as she had torrid run. This a winnable race.

OCEAN’S JEN won two in a row then she was sent out favourite here last start but just found one better. Racing in super form and she can return to winners stall.

COMICA overraced a touch at Pakenham last start but she still proved too smart. If she can settle a little better she will make her presence felt.
