Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Sandown Hillside | Wed 15th June

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 9

Rail Position: Out 12m entire circuit

Patrick Payne stable are hottest stable in town and they bring the unbeaten BIRDIES GALORE to Hillside. Drawn to drive through and lead these and can win again.

STARIANNE is a debutant who impressed winning only trial at Cranbourne 800m (45.46) 7/2 and since has been successful in jumpout. Expect she will be well supported.

LOVE IS EASY was placed at Lakeside two starts back then she just battled away last start on the wet ground. Not sure she is going to get firmer but looking for her to improve.

Tip: BIRDIES GALORE

PHERE THE EX won his maiden first-up and stable thought enough of him to take across to Adelaide and take on some hot races where he did not measure up. Gets back in right class here.

INSULATION showed an exciting turn-of-hoof and demolished a maiden field at Sale on debut. He will be better from the race experience and can measure up to this.

VADABOY is another that won his maiden with authority last start on the heavy ground. Likely to get some wet ground again and would not leave out of chances.

Tip: PHERE THE EX

LITERARY MAGNATE looks ready to win. She has not been beaten all that far in her three runs this time in and this looks ideal race for her.

SEACOLE deserves a chance in town. She made it two in a row with a good tough win at Cranbourne last start and no reason she cannot win again.

MERE FANCY chased home strongly from the back to win maiden first-up then she was beaten less than 2 lengths at Lakeside last start. Drawn wide but would not leave out of exotics.

Tip: LITERARY MAGNATE

SWEETZOU resumes from spell. She usually finds her best form when first-up having won three of four fresh tries. Has advantage of apprentice claim and happy to have her on top.

TYCOON HUMMA comes into this ready to win. She has finished off strongly when placed at last couple of starts and gets chance to return to winners stall.

LA VINA should have won at Lakeside last start. She raced wide but kept driving late and just missed. Drawn to get a much better run from inside gate and she can go one better.

Tip: SWEETZOU

KURABAI was in the market at only start last time in but pulled up with heart irregularity and was eased down. She is much better than that and can win this.

CYCLONE SALLY gave field a galloping lesson at Kyneton two starts back then only just missed in a nice race at Lakeside last outing. She only needs that form to be right in the mix.

NO SECRET comes across the Tasman with some solid form behind her. Came from well back and won with something in hand at Te Rapa (NZ) first-up and can measure up to these.

Tip: KURABAI

AUSTRATA won here three starts back then he has not been disgraced in better races than he finds here. Back in winnable race and would not leave out of winning chances.

MARCOLT comes into this third-up from spell. Liked the way he got to the line when placed at Lakeside last start and he comes from hot stable. Must include.

MARK OF THE MAN was strong to the line winning at Warrnambool two starts back then chased home smart one when placed last start. Racing too well to leave out.

Tip: AUSTRATA

Going to have something each way on SOARHI second-up from spell. Liked the way he kept coming first-up and although never threatened was not far away. Fitter and not race for him.

PEIDRA relished the heavy ground and finished the race off too well to get the job done last start. Finds similar and although drawn wide can win again.

GLOBAL GIFT crossed and led them up at Cranbourne first-up. Was only claimed last 200m and faded to miss placing. Fitter and if he can get the front will take catching.

Tip: SOARHI

GRANDE RUMORE should have finished in the placings at Flemington last start when held-up late. She gets back in right race and will be right in the finish.

SKYWOLF won two in a row to begin this campaign then he went to Rosehill and never looked happy in the ground. Barrier a concern but would not dismiss.

CONDO’S EXPRESS comes into this ready third-up from spell. Not beaten all that far when placed at Lakeside last start and only needs that form to finish in exotics.

Tip: GRANDE RUMORE
