Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Eagle Farm | Sat 30th April

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s Eagle Farm meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 5

Rail Position: Out 5m entire circuit

MAJOR ARTIE finished too well to win at The Valley two starts back then he did some work early last start and did not finish well enough. Should get right run in small field and can win this.

TREVELYAN finished too well and got the job done with authority here last start. Only needs to hold that form and he will be in finish again.

SMART METEOR did not measure up to Listed company on the heavy ground last start. Gets back in right race and on firmer surface can bounce back to best form.

HE IS has found some form since coming to Queensland. Sprinted clear to win at Ipswich then got up last stride at Doomben last start. Third-up from ideal draw and he can win again.

VITESSE FRANCAIS finally broke through for well-deserved win at Ipswich last start. Had been placed in two runs previously and no reason he cannot win again.

ROLLER COASTER started this prep with a couple of strong wins and he was working through his classes strongly. Raced bit flat last start when disappointing but he is much better than that.

Tip: HE IS

KIR ROYALE resumes from spell. Looked promising in all four starts in Sydney at first prep and if she brings that form to Queensland will be in finish again.

ZAVABOOM finished too well to win here first-up from spell then he ran on hard to just miss last start. Third-up and ready to return to winners stall.

RELEASE THE BEANS looked little unlucky not to have finished closer first-up then he just did not finish race off last start. Third-up and can bounce back.

LUNAKORN hugged the rail and finished the race off strongly when beaten less than a length here last start. Not far off a win and gets chance in this.

GENERAL DUBAI was nabbed on the line but managed to hold on and share the prize here last start. Makes own luck rolling forward and he will take some running down.

GAVE US UP had all the favours before showing them a clean set of hooves winning here last start. Won two of last three and he will be in the mix again.

STEADY READY created a big impression on debut at Doomben. He relished the heavy ground from the front and bolted in. Better from the race experience and can win again.

BRERETON resumes from a spell. Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate winner at Flemington at his second start. Given sound Deagon trial to get ready for this and may just be too classy.

PALAZZO SPIRIT is another fresh from a break. He is unbeaten in two first-up tries and he has looked impressive in two trial wins leading into this.

PALLADAS is first-up from a break. He has drawn out in the car park but he has a touch of class on these and will be having something each way.

ARENTEE started a long odds on favourite in maiden class at Doomben last start and he won accordingly. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and will measure up to this.

BAD BARISTA looks over the odds to me and for those happy to play place betting she could be the value and sneak a place. Cannot leave out.

GREEN BELT won his first two starts in Melbourne before coming north. Started favourite fresh in the Daybreak Lover and but fitness told late. Will be fitter and can go one better.

FESTIVAL DANCER was only getting warm when the race was over on the heavy at Randwick. Going to need some luck from his her barrier but is up to being in finish.

CHARACTER did not see out the trip in the Australian Derby. He won the Tulloch at previous start and that form would be good enough for this.

Exciting to have the return of ROTHFIRE. Just did not find his best form in two runs in Sydney last time in work. Dominant trial leading into this and he can win fresh.

BALLER has a super first-up record (8:3-0-2). Chased home Rothfire in recent Doomben trial and at the value he could be an each way bet.

STARTANTES only just missed behind Niedorp when first-up at the Sunshine Coast last time in work and if she can produce that form must respect.

GO WANDJI shared the prize when he dead heated at Toowoomba first-up then he should have won at Doomben last start. Drawn touch wide but talented enough to win this.

Forget that ZOUKINA went around at Randwick last start. She never got a run at any stage in straight. Form previous to that was good enough to be included in this.

BULLFINCH was strong winning here two starts back then he got going late when placed last start. Drawn to get ideal run and he will be in finish.
