Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Doomben meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!
Track Condition: Soft 7
Rail Position: Out 7m entire circuit
Hard to line up the two-year-olds with plenty of first starters. Liked the trials of PRINCE SHALAA and always an advantage for debutants to draw the rails. Expect he will have support.
KOBE LAD was placed at Sunshine Coast on debut then backed that up with another placed at Ipswich last start. He will not be a maiden for much longer.
HANG FIVE is another having his first start. Comes off a clear Sunshine Coast trial win and cannot leave him out of chances.
Tip: PRINCE SHALAA
Annabel Neasham looks to have found the right race for GOOD GIRL to get her maiden out of the way. Placed here on debut in better race and she can win this.
EVEN NOW showed good speed sitting up on the speed at Ipswich last start and she stayed tough just finding one better final stages. Expect her to be in this for a long way.
SHALOOK resumes from a spell. She was in the market at Eagle Farm on debut and only weakened final stages. She has had a break since and recent trial will have her forward for this.
Tip: GOOD GIRL
MASTER TYLER resumes from a spell. He was placed in both starts at first prep before going for a break. Will have benefited from recent trial and he should go close fresh.
DUNDAS has been racing in much better races than this. Placed at Gold Coast two starts back and in maiden class here he gets his chance.
INDEEP was sent out favourite at Sunshine Coast first-up but she peaked on run final stages. She was placed second-up last start and must respect.
Tip: MASTER TYLER
A CALL FROM HEAVEN was placed here on debut then she went to Ipswich as odds on favourite but just found one better again. She looks ready to win maiden.
HURIWAI started this campaign with a couple of Ipswich placings then forget he ran here last start as never got a crack at them until race was over. He can win this.
LUCKY EXCHANGE started favourite at Ipswich on debut and he ran a super race beaten less than 2 lengths. Sure to be better from the experience and cannot leave out.
Tip: A CALL FROM HEAVEN
LITTLE MISS PIXIE is screaming out for a win. She has been placed in all four starts this time in and will not get a better chance that this to return to winners stall.
DARING BELLE comes into this third-up from spell. Drawn to get the perfect run in behind the speed and she was beaten less than 2 lengths last outing.
SOUBRETTE looked a touch unlucky not to have won at Ipswich last start. She was held-up on the corner and that cost her. She will be competitive.
Tip: LITTLE MISS PIXIE
STYLE SEEKER got his maiden out of the way here last start. Comes into this primed third-up from spell and although drawn touch wide cannot dismiss.
RATIONS is screaming out for a win this time in. She has been placed in all five starts this prep and looks well placed to be right in the mix again.
ASHER won his maiden at Ipswich two starts back then just missed in a driving finish at Kilcoy last start. Makes own luck up front and must respect.
Tip: STYLE SEEKER
Like MOSSHIKI coming into this third-up from spell. He has been beaten less than 2 lengths in both runs back from spell and this no harder. He goes on top.
SHOPPING ESPRIT won on the heavy ground at Sunshine Coast first-up then been placed in both runs since. He only needs to hold that form to be competitive in this.
SPIRIT’S CHARM was dominant winning at Ipswich two starts back then forget last start when she ran into trouble. Would not leave her out of exotics.
HE KNOWS started a short favourite here last start and he won with something in hand. Won a trial leading into this and despite wide gate can get away with this.
MERIDEN FLASH deserves a chance in town. He gave a Ballina field a galloping lesson last start and from perfect barrier draw he should get his chance.
QUACKERY started favourite at Sunshine Coast first-up from spell but just found one better final stages. He strips fitter and would not be surprised to see him go on better.
