Liked the way CATEECHEE powered to the line when just missed at Bendigo first-up from spell. Will be much better from the outing and she can go one better.
PERUSAL finished in the placings in his Balnarring jumpout and he looks ready for his debut. Drawn perfectly and would expect him to have support.
MATSUKAZE overraced on debut but just battled from the corner. Sure to be better from the race experience and he will be an improver.
VINLAGO was placed on the heavy ground at Sale two starts back then he just battled away last start. He can sneak a place in this.
PRIX DE TURN took on Group 2 company first-up from spell but he lost chance at the start. Gets back in right race and can break maiden status in this.
BORS comes into this ready to win. He has been placed in last two starts and although drawn touch wide has Craig Williams aboard and must respect.
MAN OF HEART resumes from spell. He was not beaten all that far last time in work and finished last prep with a competitive Listed race run. Cannot leave him out.
SAVONIA deserves a win. Three solid placings coming into this and she can measure up to this. Looks a major player.
Tip: PRIX DE TURN
LAUNDY made own luck up on the speed at The Valley last start but just found one better final stages. Drawn perfectly and gets chance to go one better.
CONVICT SAM caught the eye final stages when beaten less than a length at Flemington last start. This no harder and he will be in mix again.
SPIRIT OF GOLD did not have all that much luck at The Valley last start when just battled late. Won a couple on the provincial circuit earlier this campaign and cannot dismiss.
FIRE resumes from spell. He won his maiden with something in hand at Bendigo two starts back then pulled up sore last start. Two trials will have him ready for this.
SNAKEY MAG finished too well and won with ease at Stony Creek on debut. Comes to town at second start but looks smart and can measure up to these.
UNIQUE BAMBINO was well backed into favourite last start and he sustained long run and got the job done. Drawn perfectly and can win again.
TYCOON HUMMA took on Group races last time in work and just fell a little short. She resumes in much easier company and recent trial suggests she can get away with this.
NORTHERN MELODY raced up on the speed and fought the race out tenaciously when placed last start. Will go forward and takes catching.
BEAUKATI showed an abundance of speed and led all the way to win last start. Drawn to drive through and lead again and can make it two in a row.
ROYAL DRESS won her maiden with something in hand on debut then went to the paddock. Overraced first-up and was first beaten. She can bounce back in this.
Tip: TYCOON HUMMA
WHAT A SMASHER was not beaten all that far when placed at The Valley two starts back then she started big odds in Group 3 company last start and was not disgraced. Back in winnable race.
LITTLE STEVIE comes into this ready to win third-up from spell. Beaten less than a length at The Valley last start and she only needs to hold that form to be a factor.
MADAME BOLLI went forward and was competitive for a long way at The Valley last start but peaked late. Sure to be fitter and she can win this.
Tip: WHAT A SMASHER
SIR DAVY chased home from last when placed at Pakenham first-up from spell. Sure to strip fitter and this looks nice race for him to return to winners stall.
STRETTO resumes from a spell. He has been placed in two of his four first-up starts and must consider on that stat alone.
ZAC DE BOSS did it tough when always wide on the speed at Bendigo last start but still stayed on and held minor placing. He will be in the mix again.
Tip: SIR DAVY
OCEAN’S JEN won with something in hand at Cranbourne two back then she made it two straight winning at Lakeside last start. She can win again.
MARIMENKO chased home solidly when placed here last start. Comes into this third-up from spell and would not leave him out of chances.
BEEHUNTER comes off a big win at Pakenham last start when just finished a bit too well for them final stages. He will be steaming home late.
