Horse racing Tips – Monday 4th July

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Gunnedah meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Track: Soft 6

This is an interesting affair because we have RICCOS coming back in class for this, but to counter that he hasn’t run a place in past four starts against those better runners. Mind you, he hasn’t been too far away all of them at provincial level at this trip. Today he has drawn perfectly and this 3kg kid, Ben Osmond has the job of getting him to settle on the rails in about 4th then get a run once they turn. If he does that this horse can win. The 3kg claim is a massive help too. SEARCHLIGHT has enough talent this grade to be competitive and is 3rd up. Quinella them up.

Tip: RICCOS

Again, wet track form is what I’m seeking at this meet and this Cam Crockett trained mare ANGELA SISTINA looks the one here. She has pace and she does boast solid soft track form. No heavy track runs to measure though. Last start, when resuming, led and fought on very well for 2nd in a strong maiden field.Goes up 100m further here but is fitter now and has drawn rather well. FLYING SQUAD is solid and in form and very fit also. Goes well this grade. Quinella them.

Tip: ANGELA SISTINA

Cam Crockett can bank a double here with this lightly raced 3YO STAR ON FIRE. Today will be his 2nd race start. On debut he was strong late in a good quality maiden field at Dubbo when flying home from 8th on bend to grab 4th. Was new to everything and did it on raw talent. A little fitter and a little more seasoned for this assignment so looms large.  Quinella them.
