Horse Racing Tips – Monday 4th April

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Muswellbrook meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 8

Rail Position: Out 3m from 800m to 400m, true remainder

What a good race.  I do think there is a lot to like about the progression of this Scone trained horse OUTBURST. He is in a winnable race here and his first-up 2nd in a BM 58 was a really good run. A sound hit-out for this and he had to lump 63.5kg around. Last prep did run well in stakes race too. On his home track he kinda looks unbeatable here I must say but THAILAND has solid claims for a place show too. He is the quinella be all day.

I have a strong feeling this bloke FARMER’S FRIEND is going to love the sting being out of the ground today. He has had a few trainers all trying to get him right. Because he has loads of talent. Last start, for new trainer Joe Burgees, he got back a long way in a similar race yet came home hard to grab 3rd. That was a good track that day. The softer ground and long straight will suit him a great deal and I see him flying home this time in front. QUICK NICK can run the quinella.

I really am a fan of home track advantages and in this race the Paul Messara trained galloper FIENDISH gets the nod in that regard here. He Laos does because he has raced 4 times at this level in his career and has placed 4 times at this level! Resumes here and is racing at Scone for the very first time, which will be a massive help. Ran 2nd in a recent trial and looks ready to go bang here.
