Horse Racing Tips – Monday 14th March

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the race meeting this afternoon at Canberra with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!

Interesting race here. I have long been a fan of horses on th rise as they ply their trade through the grades. This locally trained filly FANGELA is that horse in this race. She is 3rd up today and up in grade but to counter that she has an apprentice on to claim some weight which helps. Being on her home track is a massive aid as well. When resuming she was a luckless 2nd in town in a Highway, then was backed as if unbeatable last start at Nowra where she knocked over her in form rival again NOBODY’S PUPPET. She meets her 1kg better for beating her! Courtesy of the claim. DISTILLATE will run well as he is 2nd up so I will quinella them. Good race.

Here’s a cool race. This might be the best rendition of this race ever. I like Annabel Neasham’s MILITARY EXPERT. I think he is a Group horse in the making and a little Black Type here looks perfect for him. Is 4th up and off the rails draw should get the run of the race in about 3rd on the fence then pounce.

This is a pretty darn good field. Lots and lots of hopes. I have settled upon the top weight, SACRAMENTO. I think 2nd up from a spell going into this, that he will be too nippy early and as such grab an early lead. No doubt TOOMUCHTOBEAR will work forward early too but when he has his mind set to it, Sacramento can lead most and he should today. He is naturally very clean winded so he will just keep rolling. What I like also is the compressed weight scale. On past efforts he should be giving most of these about 6kg, but he is giving TORRENS nothing and the rest of them 2.5kg. Tulloch Lodge will have him purring and I see him leading all the way from MR GEE who should charge late.
