T: Mick Price & Michael Kent /J: Jye McNeil (59kg)
Outstanding galloper who is at his best at this trip. Looks to sit off the pace and then come charging home. Showed he was top shelf last prep and this may well see him progress to an even higher level. Superstar.
T: James Cummings / J: Diamen Oliver (59kg)
Dial accepter here and in Sydney this weekend. Is always a threat late in any race. Will get back but if the pace is on he and his handsome white face will be swarming home late.
T: David Jolly / J: Jamie Kah (59kg)
Super horse at this level and this trip. Ran a cracking race when resuming last start under big weight and difficulties. Capable of winning this if at his best. is a Gr 1 winner around here.
T: Team Hawkes / J: Damian Thornton (59kg)
Like everything in the field, he was run off his legs by the flying Marabi last start when resuming and getting home late for 7th. Has won at Gr 3 level this track and trip and likely to make a late move.
T: Team McEvoy / J: Jordan Childs (59kg)
He resumes here so probably goes back early. Tough assignment for a staying type first up however.
T: Josh Julius / J: Dean Holland (59kg)
Interesting galloper. Does fo very well this journey and is a Gr 2 winner over a mile last prep. Run off his legs when 8th in that flying rendition of the 1200m Australia Stakes and that should tighten him up. Can sneak a place at odds.
T: Team Freedman / J: Craig Williams (59kg)
Hard to imagine him not running a great race. Looks the dark horse of this field. He has won up to a mile in Europe and his past two runs in Australia, all the while getting used to our racing, have been superb. Won here over 1400m in the Gr 3 Heffernan then resumed from a spell and caught the eye flashing home for 2nd in the Gr 2 Aust Stakes. Big chance.
T: Mike Moroney / J: Mark Zahra (59kg)
Outstanding mare. If she runs top 3 here she breaks the $3million in prize money barrier. Is generally up to this while fresh and resumes here over her favourite trip. Is faster than these on her day so watch the betting.
T: Trent Busuttin and Nat Young / J: John Allen (57kg)
Good mare who goes well here. Lost all form her last two starts before spell but did win 3 of previous 4 in great fashion. Is enigmatic but can place.
T: Danny O’Brien /J: Damian Lane (57kg)
Sensational mare on her day and relishes this journey. Not raced since 5th this trip here at Gr 1 level in the Memsie last August. Trialled well enough and could dash very hard late here.
T: Ciaran Maher & David Eustace /J: Ben Allen (57kg)
Outstanding galloper who has taken to Australian racing extremely well. Freshened for this following 4 wins in a row and has a powerful finishing burst. Is up in class though.
T: Peter Moody / J: Blaike McDougall (55.5kg)
Top notch 3YO with enough talent to trouble these. He has won here at Gr 3 level this trip and he ran a great 4th to Marabi in the 1200m Australia Strakes when resuming last start. Big show. Racing like this trip will suit and should appreciate this track.
