T: Gai waterhouse & Adrian Bott / J: Regan Bayliss (56kg)
This is a smart filly. Is fast, is trained here and is a Gr 1 winner at this track. Will fly under the radar but will be on speed and she is as tough as old boots. Might well be left alone and if so, will take catching.
T: Chris Waller / J: Hugh Bowman (56kg)
You could not but be impressed with the way she accelerated between runners to dash out after her acclaimed stablemate Espiona and nab her on the line. That made 4 in a row for her and she clearly is a superstar.
T: John Sargent / J: Nash Rawiller (56kg)
This filly’s biggest win was here over this trip when she gamely landed the Gr 2 Tea Rose last September. Her only run this time up was a weakening 13th to Fangirl. Is trained here so should strip fitter and run better.
T: Chris Waller / J: Brenton Avdulla (56kg)
It will be interesting to see how far this filly progresses. She appears to be a stayer in the making. Was beaten a head by Never Been Kissed in the Gr 1 Flight Stakes over 1600m last Oct here. Her first-up 7th to stablemates Fangirl and Espiona was a great run. Might dash late as she seems to like it wet.
T: Team Price / J: Brock Ryan (56kg)
Interesting galloper. Finished like a train to win a Gr 2 here last year and looked like a superstar in the making. And when she made a charge out wide with the stars ending up a close 3rd to Fangirl and Espiona. Fitter for the run and should be dashing late.
T: Chris Waller / J: James McDonald (56kg)
Outstanding filly, might be the best in the land against her age. Was run down late by stablemate Fangirl last start when resuming. If she runs up to her very best she wins this easily. Lots of money for her overnight. Big chance.
T: Rob Heathcote / J: Jason Collett (56kg)
Queensland filly with enormous potential. Gets back and runs on. Loves a wet track too. Was making impressive ground when 6th to Fangirl in the Light Fingers Stakes last start. Will strip fitter and likes this trip better.
T: Team Freedman / J: Chad Schofield (56kg)
This is a good filly. She hit the front when resuming last start when resuming and was collared late finishing 4th to Fangirl in the Light Fingers. Will strip so much better for that effort and ion ridden off the pace here she might just fly late. Lightly raced but has talent.
T: James Cummings /J: Sam Clipperton (56kg)
Very talented filly. Like most of these resumed from a spell and was absolutely flying late when 5th to Fangirl in the Light Fingers. Should like this trip better and is 2nd up now so is fitter. Place.
T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott /J: Rachel King (56kg)
is pretty quick and if she finds the front early and isn’t taken on she can make a nuisance of herself. Was 6th in Qld last start beating Jamaea home. Does have wet track form too.
T: Kim Waugh / J: Jay Ford (56kg)
Pretty smart and she has won 3 of past 4 starts. Is up in class here and hasn’t been to stakes grade yet. May find this too hard.
T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott / J: Tim Clark (56kg)
Has beaten Jamaea and has speed to burn. Didn’t fire a shot when resuming last start behind Fangirl, however. Might find this too
T: James Cummings / J: Glyn Schofield (56kg)
Interesting galloper. All her form is from Victoria. Has talent and runs on in those big fillies events. Are they as good as NSW races. Hmmm, maybe not.
T: Gary Portelli / J: Keagan Latham (56kg)
Is a BM 64 filly who will get run over in this grade.
T: Kerry Parker / J: Andrew Adkins (56kg)
handy filly in the making but is also a BM 64 filly so will get back and find this too hard late.
17. Von Trapp (3) SCRATCHED
T: Ed Cummings / J: Tom Sherry (56kg)
Won her maiden last start by leading all the way. This is a step up and may find it too hard.
