Horse Racing Tips – Friday 8th April

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Canberra meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 7

Rail Position: True

When in doubt, always go to the home track advantage. In this instance it is the filly DEVINE MISS who is the one. She has proven to have class already having landed two wins from just four outings but her professionalism is the key. She won well when resuming and surely strips fitter. Gets the gun draw here should sit off the pace and come with a rush. Her only trip to a heavy track resulted in a 3 lengths win. So she just ticks every variable imaginable. Kayla Nisbet rides and she was on her last start when the pair won.

They took this filly CARRINGTON FALLS out west for her debut run. It was a move that raised eyebrows but the rationale was that it might be a length or so easier out there and so they wanted to get on. Which they did. She was backed into favouritism and ran a good solid race finishing a close-up 4th. All the cash was left in the bag. Well, 2nd start in a race this afternoon so she is experienced and fitter. Is, on this occasion, on her home track so no 5 hour float trip and I guarantee the money will come late too. ESSONME hasn’t raced yet but has been backed overnight. Quinella them.

At his most recent start, OAMANIKKA ran home well to grab 2nd in a slightly tougher race than this. That made him very fit and ready to win here. The 3kg claim for Zac Wadick is a massive help. FANGELA, also with a claim, will be hardest to beat as she is very honest but this bloke can really come late when he is right. And I think he is right today.
