Horse racing Tips – Friday 27th May

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Goulburn & Inverell meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Small field lining up here but a competitive field. I really do love winning form leading into a race. And the only last start winner in this field is SPELLZ who ploughed through the mud to win maiden here over this trip. Now, this is probably a bit harder and she has 1.5kg more to carry but she has only raced 7 times so is on an improvement curve. I suspect she sits back in about 5th spot to the bend then angles out to find a fast lane. Is obviously super fit now. TIP TOP TIMING is also fit and can plug on into 2nd.

Tip: SPELLZ

Interesting race. Only one horse has raced, that being EMILIA ROMAGNA who has drawn off the track and didn’t place in 2 starts. So the unraced crew remain and I do like one. ESPIRIT LUCAND looked quite demanding winning a trial with some ease. Trained by Mark Newnham and drawn perfectly I just see her in the top 3 all the way and proving too solid down the running.

Tip: ESPRIT LUCAND

I’m having a bit each way here on MORINGA’S HIEMIE at $61. He is 3rd up and you couldn’t really have him based on his form with an 8th and 7th this grade but they were in shorter races and he is better suited here. Plus, last start he wasn’t beaten all that far and just didn’t seem to stride out as he was caught between runners. Drawn deep today, I suspect he’s about 6th for home, after finding cover and can come home hard. HASALAKE won maiden by big margin last start. This is harder but likes it here. Quinella.
